Cruise ship security jobs are highly coveted for their appeal to a wide range of other security professions; police, military, etc. The cruise ship industry ’s highest priority is to ensure the safety and security of its passengers, crew and vessels. Security has to be compared and contrasted with other related concepts: Safety, continuity, reliability. The key difference between security and reliability is that security must take into account the actions of active malicious agents attempting to cause destruction.
